Happy Birthday to Hunter!!

Ahhhh!!! My baby boy turned 5 today! How can that be? Where has the time gone? I have to admit I was a bit teary about it all last night. I had to get together pictures of Hunter from birth till now and write what he liked to do at each age for him to take to school today. Looking back through those pictures was kind of heartbreaking. I remember before Ella was born Hunter was my entire world, every waking second was spent with just him. Then when he was 2 years and 4 months Ella Grace was born and Hunter seemed to take a backseat. Not in my heart of course but my worries about Ella consumed my thoughts. I feel like I have missed the past 2 1/2 years with him, maybe every mom feels that way when they have more than one kid...... I just feel like he has gotten the short end of the stick. I tucked him into bed last night and gave him some smooches, I said "this is the last time I will kiss you as a 4 year old." left the room and cried. Someday perhaps I will not be so emotional, ha.

So, off we go to celebrate at his favorite place, Red Robin. On Friday his best friend Rex is spending the night and we are going to Chuck E Cheese, woo hoo!
Happy Birthday to my big, compassionate, smart, funny boy!! I love you!!

Wow, his eyes are really similar to Ella's beautiful baby blues! You can definitely see the sibling resemblance. You have a lot to look forward to, 5 year old boys are tons of fun!

5 year old boys are tons of fun but wow are they gross. Good thing Rex is around to teach him all the really nasty boy things to do.

I love all the pictures of times before we new Hunter. He was a beautiful baby and wow is he a handsome young man.

Happy Birthday Hunter ... Don't forget you have to share your cupcakes with me.

Love the pictures! :) Happy Birthday Hunter! (And I think Moms of more than one always feel like they are shortchanging their kids...especially when one has special needs.) I get emotional over birthdays too!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUNTER!!!! To our handsome little nephew! Sorry we couldnt talk to you last night, but hope Daddy gave you our message! Looks like Red Robin was fun (of course)! I cant believe he is already 5, but i also cant believe mine is going to be 8 next week!! Time does fly! I think on some levels all moms feel like they shortchange their kids at times, but he is a great boy and it shows just how great of parents he has!!! We love you--you Big 5 year old!!! Love, Uncle Shawn, Aunt Tami, and cousins Brendan and Shaylin!!!!

Happy Birthday, Hunter!!!!!!
Wow, I can't believe it...and Eden is next. It was hard for me to see Elijah turn five--like we had turned the corner into big-boy-land, and I wasn't ready yet!

Sending belated Birthday wishes to your big boy! Hunter your such a Cutey Patooti! They grow too fast don't they! My T just celebrated his big 5 and it was emotional. How can it be 5 already. Mind you it wasn't nearly as emotional as making my oldest 21st Birthday Montage. Let me tell you the 21 years have gone by almost just as quickly. Time is a mysterious thing!
