Lovely Lavender Lady

Summer is flying by here in Spokane. It has been really hot, but beautiful, we definetly chose the right place to live!!

Ella is doing great. I am getting depressed knowing that my baby turns 3 in less than a month. 3 just seems so big, and for Ella that means that she enters the public school system, ahhhhhh! I'm not anxious because she is going to public school, but she is SO little and she is MY BABY!!! I am so very sad that she has to leave the Guild School, unfortunately they are strictly birth to 3 and the day the kid turns 3 they get the boot. I know that we have been spoiled by the services that she has received there, everyone there loves the kids so much and are so wonderful with them, and I know that Ella has had the best possible start while at the Guild School, but I am still sad for her to be leaving. I am however oh so glad that I will remain working there, that makes the separation just a bit less devastating!

Ella is learning more and more words all the time! Her current favorite is hungry or as she says "I humree" it is the cutest thing! She also enjoys saying " I lella" (ella) then pointing to me and saying "mama", Chris and "dada", Hunter "bubba" and then back to herself "I lella!" The kid just amazes me all the time!!

A couple of weeks ago my mom, Ella, and I went to a Lavender Festival. It wasn't very festive, not many booths etc, but we did get to cut our own lavender. We attempted to get some pics of Ella in the middle of the flowers, however she wasn't really a fan of it touching her.....

this pic cracks me up
looks like a sassy pose!

Ella is so beautiful! My husband's family lives close to Spokane in a town called Dayton. It's a very small town. The lavender festival reminds me of a little lavender farm in a town next to Dayton, called Waitsburg. It's very pretty, I think. It's also for sale, I often think about buying it.

What beautiful pictures! I remember when Olivia aged out of the EI program and went to school...very scary but way better than I thought!

You take such great pictures! That, and Ella is gorgeous, which kinda gives you an advantage in the photography department. ;o)
When does school start there? Honestly, I've been really sad as I see all the back-to-school commercials, school supply lists, and decorated classrooms. (We live a few blocks away from an elementary school.) There are so many things, people, and opportunities that I know I won't be able to provide the kids at home...there will be good things unique to homeschooling too, I'm sure, but it's just not what I ever envisioned.
"Big school" will be so fun for Ella and for you, though I understand the bittersweet feelings as you watch your baby grow up. I'm excited to hear how you like it! Is Hunter excited for kindergarten???
Love you!

She's such a pretty little sweetpee! I can imagine it's stressful thinking about leaving the Guild school. They are so awesome there! I will be thinking about you and Ella as you make this transition.

hey :) We've finally gotten all settled in Spokane. We got Abigail set up with the Guild's school. We'll be heading up there twice a week for her services. I'm so greatful to have her in such great care.

I know you're sad about Ella leaving the school, but because so many kiddos are turning 3 in the next month it made room for Abigail. So there's good that comes out of it :)
