$$$$$$

Tomorrow morning Ella gets new tubes in her ears, to the tune of $487, that's our 20%(due tomorrow), not including the anesthesia. I know I have been extremely lucky with Ella's health, but holy smokes she is an expensive child! I really shouldn't complain though, we are blessed to have insurance and of course blessed to have Ella!! Despite not being able to hear correctly out of her right ear (tube is completely blocked) Ella has started saying some words and actually repeating them when asked!! I cannot tell you how much that excites me..... she now says, mama, dada, bubba, grandpa, ball, booK (she says the k very strongly, pretty funny), socK, peas (please), pretty, no, cheese, that's all I can think of at the moment, I'll have to start a list.
Oh yeah, and her new cool trick (cool to her, scares the crap out of me) is doing REAL forward rolls, you know somersaults. She totally looks like she is going to snap her neck every time she does them. Mind you, no one taught her this, she watched Hunter do it and that's all it took. Oh and yesterday Hunter was at school and I was doing something in my bedroom. Ella was in the playroom/kids' bedroom playing very nicely all by herself with her doll house. I checked on her after a few minutes and she was still playing great. A couple more minutes I come in to look at her, she was on Hunter's bed, a tall bunk bed. She climbed up a straight up and down ladder without assistance, was sitting up on the bed throwing Hunter's stuffed animals down with a huge grin on her face. That child will be the death of me, mark my words!!
Here are a couple more pics from Georgia that my grandad took...

Jonathan does forward rolls too and it freaks me out! He learned them from friends at preschool and will do them everywhere including concrete floors. He learned to climb a ladder at a friends house. He disappeared and we couldn't find him until he giggled from the top bunk.

I totally feel you on the insurance and money. My appendectomy was more expensive than having Jason! Praying for Ella and you tomorrow.

Yep, they can break the bank, that's for sure!! We laughed when Braska hit the $300,000 mark at 3 months. :o) But we'll keep her...somehow!

Hope these tubes do the trick, and yay for words!

Those medical bills can be overwhelming huh! I find the best way to deal with it is you write the check with your eyes closed :o).

You're right, Ella does look grown up. She's still such a doll! And I see you hiding behind in her in that last picture! Pretty Kacey needs to be out front. :o)

Yay on the speech! I swear Payton is just finally starting to repeat after me (finally!) more clearly and I love it, but I am still researching apraxia. Sigh. We'll see.

Ella is so stinkin cute!

PS...don't let her get too crazy with somersaults until you have AAI screening done. LOL

I love the pics of her taking a walk! She is such a big girl now! No more baby, what happened? I didnt know that the tubes were being put in tomorrow, please call us and let us know how little missy does. Medical bills in general are pricey, and it cracks me up that Shawn actually negotiates all of the reimbursement rates for medical procedures and stuff because it just seems outrageous! We feel it too, this year our insurance went up while coverage went down. And of course last week Shay had to go and test the waters and got admitted for two days for an infection! Unbelievable! Well, at least she waiting A COUPLE of weeks into the new year, right? Call us about little missy, Ok? Love ya's--Aunt Tami and family
PS I like the new background, nice for Valentine's!

We do not qualify for SSI for Katie but on a forum board somewhere they mentioned that DS kids could qualify for medicade coverage that would pick up the copays. I'll post what we find out.
