Beautiful weekend!

It was so nice this weekend and we spent most of it outdoors!! On Saturday night we went to a parade here in town and it was a really good one. Saturday kicked off the Lilac Festival (what that is I don't really know) and they had an Armed Forces Torch Light Parade. It lasted 3 hours!!! The kids loved it. We were worried that Ella would be overstimulated and scared from the loud noises (which she sometime is) but she absolutly loved it. She claped and waved for most of the 3 hours! Here are a few pics from the parade.
The start of the parade
and no she is not sun burned
both my kids turn red when they
get warm.
OH MY GOODNESS a
police car!!!
Look mom. It was so funny he had
to turn around and tell me to look
at everything!
Ella waving to me as the
parade wore on.
Making the boo-hoo face at dad.
I like this pic cause she looks so
long (thought she's not : )
Earlier in the day we went out
to Nana's house that is being built.
Showing me his muscles!
These next 3 pics are me trying to
capture Ella's new skill. Whenever
music starts she snaps. It is the cutest thing ever! Of course there
is no sound but boy she is trying!
How's that for fine motor skills!
These were at the park on Sunday, we were supposed to be having a get together of the Down syndrome network but only us and one other family showed up. That's okay though the kids still had fun at the park.
Loaded up in their new wagon!!

Wow! Looks like you had a pretty fun weekend! Looks like the parade was a hit! Even Daddy looked like he was excited about the police car--Ha! Love the pic of little missy giving Daddy the face, too! Snaps for little missy snapping!! That's awesome! Love the new wagon too, that will be lots of fun this summer! Lots of kisses and hugs to all of you and we miss you terribly! Love, Aunt Tami and family

Looks like you guys are enjoying Spokane to the fullest. I wish I could have made it to the park. Next time I promise. Hope we don't have to wait that long to get together. Keep me posted on all the appointments!

I just love the pics of your kids. The faces that Ella makes are just priceless! My hubby grew up in Spokane and we were there April '07 visiting. If his family (mom) weren't so...we'll say... not nice (my mother-in-law HATES me!) we would have put Fairchild on our dream sheet. It has grown soo much since Rikk has lived there. And it looks like you guys are enjoying it soo much. Looks like you made a good move.
