Ella has been changing so much lately, growing up so fast. Her signs now include... more, dog, cat, eat, drink, hat, baby, up, please, shoes, ball, train, book, music, cracker, fish, blocks, all done, car, and that's all I can think of for now : ) She has started combining signs, she on a very regular basis uses more and please and has used more, cracker, please. She is just doing so good!! Ella also enjoys shaking her said no, and saying "no". She says yeah a lot too. She is constantly imitating words. Her receptive language is great!! She is following directions, and we are now working on two step directions.
Ella is also quite the copy cat these days! While at the park last weekend Hunter said "watch this" and belly flopped onto the grass and said "OH" like he was hurt. Well, little Miss Ella dropped down to her knees, flopped onto her belly and said "OH." It was so funny. So, of course she did it over and over, cause she will do anything for a laugh! Also, we have had the Olympics on this past week. I was watching gymnastics and Ella layed down on the floor, rolled around, then stood up and raised her hands up in the air with a big ol smile on her face. When swimming was on she layed down on her stomach and kicked her feet. She is one smart cookie!
As far as her physical skills go she is doing really well there too! She is a walking pro now, even in her Sure Steps (which she had a really hard time using to begin with.) She is doing really well with stairs, trying really hard to run (which happens to look just like walking but she swings her arms really hard and laughs) and dancing up a storm!!!
We are working on Ella being able to feed herself with a spoon and fork. One thing I have noticed is there are not a lot of good foods to practice poking a fork into!!! Ella really enjoys going in her room and pulling out clean clothes from her drawers and attempting to put them on. She has also become very capable of sticking up for herself, sometimes bordering on being a bully. It is quite hilarious to watch her fight with Hunter!!
I am way behind on pictures, have a ton I want to post, so for now enjoy these.
Eating yogurt.
Hanging out with Bubba in his bed.
Nevermind the crazy hair.
Being squashed.
Revenge!! Stealing bubba's spot.
Notice the shorts? These would be some that she put on herself, over her one piece outfit.
My WILD CHILD!!!

She really is a very pretty girl, and smart? Wow. How does she feel about younger men? LOL. PJ will be one in a month. Your son is adorable too!
I wish our girls could play together. We use to dream about them being together when they were older. Remember the party? Ha! Not doing that again.
She's growing up and doing so well! So beautiful!!!
2 already? She is doing very well. Gabi didn't walk until she was 2 years 2 months. So, she is already further than Gabi was at that age.
Forks are interesting. There aren't many good foods and a lot of the age appropriate forks aren't really "sharp" enough to pick things up with.
Ella is precious. I love her spunk you capture it so well in pictures! Hunter is very handsome.

Way to go Ella!! That is a lot of words to sign, plus combining them! What a smart little girl! It sounds like she's suddenly taken off with mastering so many skills. How fun is that!? I love the stories about Ella imitating. So funny and cute!!
Wow she looks so big and grown up and then from a different angle she looks so little. She is a beautfiul little girl with a beautiful mamma!
Pretty much I think we are raising the same kid. All those things you said ... Payton is exactly the same as Ella. Too funny. And you call your son Bubba too? Us too! Well, I guess that is obvious by our blog title. LOL Too cute!
WOW!!! She is just zooming right along! Signing that many words is really great! She sure is a quick learner-that is great! She is looking like such a little girl now, the baby is growing up! One thing I found when Shay was learning with a fork was scrambled eggs! They are soft to eat but yet dense enough to stab with a fork, and seeing as she will be 2(I cant believe it) she will be able to have eggs now. I noticed in one of the other posts they use Bubba too, you already know Shay has been calling Brendan Bubba since she was tiny too. I guess it is pretty common nickname for a brother--how funny! We miss you all so much and hopefully we will get to see you soon! We are back from vacation so I will send you some pics of the kiddos. Hope you all are doing well and give the munchkins a big kiss from us! Love you bunches--Aunt Tami and family
Okay, Kacey, this is so weird. First of all, thanks for visiting my blog--I'm not sure how I've missed this blog, either! Second, Ella Grace and Samantha look sooooo much alike, they could be sisters. And age-wise and developmentally they're just about in the exact same place! So funny. Especially when you posted the photo that you called "My Wild Child". That's what I call Sammi every time her hair gets out of control, and I, too, have a photo that I've titled that. I've bookmarked this site, and will check back often!
I love the crazy hair!! too cute!
One food we use with mayson for the fork practicing is the gerber graduate pasta pick ups. the fork goes into those great! just a idea for you!
Great update!! Ella Grace is doing great!!! Happy Birthday Ella!
